| About Ananda Aromatherapy Essential Oils: |
All oils from Ananda Aromatherapy are therapeutic grade, meaning they are produced to the highest quality standards possible. Our essential oils are chosen for their integrity (all chemical constituents important for aromatherapy are intact), ecological 'soundness' (many are claimed organic, certified organic, or wild grown), and wonderful aromas. You may order a sample of any oil before trying larger amounts. Most samples are about .75ml, though exotics such as Melissa, Rose, Angelica and Jasmine are only a few drops, but certainly enough to enjoy their aroma! | |

Patchouli
oil is obtained from the steam distillation of the leaves of the odoriferous
plant, native to India. Patchouli is typically distilled in cast iron vessels - this patchouli is distilled in stainless steel, imparting a softer patchouli aroma. This is known as 'iron-free patchouli'; not that there's any reason to shy away from the cast-iron distilled oils, this simply imparts a different aroma. Many who find patchouli a little strong enjoy the lighter aroma of this variety. See our other Patchouli pages for more in-depth information on this wonderful oil.
