Tangerine Essential Oil, Natural Source

Citrus reticulata from the USA - cold pressed - from the peels of ripe fruit.

• Therapeutic grade • Top note • Fresh, sweet, citrusy
• Aromatherapy use: Sweet and with a more subtle aroma than orange, Tangerine essential oil is said to promote happiness and have a positive effect on cellulite and stretch marks. This oil is also a favorite with children. Tangerine essential oil is useful for improving circulation and reducing fluid retention. It also seems to have a gentle, soothing action on the nervous system and so is helpful for stress and tension. Use with care and in dilution as citrus oils can be phototoxic.

Tanacetum annuum from Morocco - steam distilled, natural source- from the leaves/tops.

• Therapeutic grade • Top note • Fruity, herbaceous, sweet, woody
• Aromatherapy use: An amazing example of this oil, with the aroma of a patch of ripe blueberries deep in a redwood forest. A truly complex and wonderful scent - with very beneficial therapeutic qualities as well. A deep blue color, and with action similar to that of German Blue Chamomile. Anti-inflammatory, excellent for irritated skin - also a very relaxing aromatic. Can be helpful for allergic reactions and as an analgesic.

Tea Tree Essential Oil, Organic

Melaleuca alternifolia from Australia - steam distilled, organic - from the leaves.

• Aromatherapy use: One of the most commonly used essential oils for all types of infections - tea tree can be applied to cuts and scrapes; blended 50/50 with lavender it will be more gentle and add anti-inflammatory properties. Also used in water as an antiseptic mouthwash. This organic variety has a more pleasant, less medicinal aroma than most.

Thymus vulgaris from France - steam distilled, natural source - from the leaves.

• Aromatherapy use: An extremely powerful antimicrobial and antiviral, this oil has the aroma of fresh crushed thyme herb. The linalool chemotype is the only Thyme variety considered save for use with children, as apposed to Red and White types. The aroma is said to be effective at stimulating the mind for study and aiding in concentration.

Vetiveria zizanoides from Haiti - steam distilled, wildcrafted - from the roots.

• Therapeutic grade • Base note • Earthy, woody, heavy, tenacious
• Aromatherapy use: Distilled from the roots of a large, tropical grass, Vetiver is known as the 'oil of tranquility. It is a very thick oil that mellows with age. It is an excellent fixative in perfume blends, and useful for acne and dry skin - similar to Patchouli in many ways. Very tenacious, a little goes a long way.

Wintergreen Essential Oil, Wildcrafted

Gaultheria procumbens from China - steam distilled, wild grown - from the leaves.

• Therapeutic grade • Top note • Lively, bright, sweet minty aroma
• Aromatherapy use: Wintergreen is primarily composed of methyl salicilate and is commonly used in analgesic massage blends and forumlas, particularly with other warming oils such as ginger and cypress. It is quite powerful alone, and is best diluted. It may also be useful in easing congestion from chronic mucous discharge.

Vanilla planifolia from India - CO2 distilled, natural source - from the bean pods.

• Aromatherapy use: Vanilla CO2 smoothes almost all blends, and its fragrance has almost universal appeal. Ylang Ylang Essential Oil #1, Natural Source

Cananga odorata from Indonesia - steam distilled, natural source - from the flowers.

• Aromatherapy use: Ylang Ylang has long been considered an aphrodisiac and a 'hypnotic' for its relaxing qualities. Often included in fine perfume blends, this oil is wonderful unto itself. Ylang ylang flowers are usually distilled several times, with the earlier distillations typically giving the nicer aromatics. This is the finest Ylang Ylang we've ever come across, with a very complex, well rounded and complete aroma - Highly recommended.
