from our friends in Bulgaria who distill our organic Rose Otto
. It's anti-inflammatory the way German Blue Chamomile and Blue Tansy are, with the presence of chamulzine (the molecule which makes these oils blue).
While it doesn't contain as much -- German chamomile can contain between 3 and 35% -- one of its characteristics mentioned in more than one text is its ability to "clear heat". For that purpose, it has been indicated in blends for those dealing with flu symptoms, and may be useful in any general inflammatory condition.
From Battaglia's "Complete Guide to Aromatherapy",
he lists it as an anti-inflammatory, anti-rheumatic, antiseptic, would healer (actually "cicatrisant", which means it stimulates the skin to regenerate where it is broken) and tonic. One could certainly include it in blends for pain and soreness, and treatment of wounds -- this is the use for which Battaglia seems most enthusiastic.
Yarrow, energetically, is thought to be protective, and healing of deep emotional wounds (from Mojay's "Aromatherapy for Healing the Spirit"). These wounds may manifest as anger and bitterness, particularly as cover-ups for subconscious vulnerability and repressed emotional pain.
So, a little Blue Yarrow it is
We'll have some in stock in the next month or two.
