Post New to this and need help with carrier blending
I am a barber and I use a product on my customers with beards called beard oil. It is very expensive so I'm trying to make it on my own to save money.

It uses 4 carrier oils as we'll a a few essential oils and I'm having difficulty.trying to figure out the best ratio for the carrier oils.

They oils used are jojoba, grapeseed, almond, and castor.

Can anyone put me on the right track when it comes to the amounts to use?

Thanks in advance for any help you may offer.

Hi, and welcome to the forums.

You might begin by mixing up a relatively small amount, with equal proportions of each, and see if it is efficaceous. Then ask your customers what they think. Another option might be to use equal amounts of the first three, but less castor oil.

What essential oils are you adding?

For this batch I am using eucalyptus, cedar, and pine.

The eucalyptus seems to over power the other 2 so I'm using very little of it and more of the cedar.

I tried this many years ago. You could give it a try.

3 drops of rose geranium essential oil
5 drops of lavender essential oil
10 drops of grapefruit essential oil
50 drops of almond oil
100 drops of jojoba oil
Put some vitamin E too.
