 Alzheimer's
I am looking for oils to use for stimulating memory/concentration in Alzheimer's patient. Also has anyone tried coconut oil for these patients?

 Re: Alzheimer's
Hi - If you mean coconut oil ingested, this would be a good idea. Better yet, a tbs. of coconut oil AND a tbs. of Hemp Seed oil - we've heard that this leads to a significant amount of new neuronal connection development made daily.
For essential oils, diffusing any of the bright and herbaceous oils may help. Many studies have been performed noting that inhalation of oils such as Bay Laurel, Lemon, Sage, Mrytle and more actually lead to a decrease in the activity of acetylcholinesterase - which actually breaks down acetycholine - thus more of the chemical is available for use. A sharper mind may be the direct result, though this has not as of yet been conclusive. But certainly worth a try!
