Re: Can you use too many essential oils?
It's not that that one need to be careful with using too many different oils
- they don't have contraindications with each other...they wouldn't cancel each other out for example, or cause adverse reactions because of the number of oils.
However, it's possible one could use too much overall
-- it's really not likely, if you're using a skin care blend, and something on an injury or painful spot for relief and healing, etc...but the total amount of oil absorbed by the body may cause a reaction for some folks. It's also likely you're body will tell you -- you'll find you don't want anymore, like eating a big, rich meal and not wanting any more food. Listen to your body, and your intuition, and if it says "lay off" for a while on a particular oil, do so...In the store, we're breathing something like 100 oils all the time, and no one has ever found it unpleasant;
we end up not being able to sense them as strongly because we're smelling them all the time, but there's no unpleasant sensation, or need to get away from them in any way.
Hope this helps!
