Post Oils for Parasthesia
What oils/blends would you recommend for someone dealing with parasthesia in their feet?

With laughter and magic,

Post Re: Oils for Parasthesia
Hi Elaine,

A blend geared toward enhancing circulation is likely to help. Oils to consider are Marjoram, Black Pepper, Ginger and perhaps Wintergreen or Birch.

Now, Wintergreen and Birch are essentially liquid aspirin -- same chemical makeup, so as little as necessary is best. They'll thin the blood a bit in the area, and enhance circulation. The others are more stimulating in action.

Because it's the feet, the skin can generally tolerate a higher concentration of oils in carrier -- perhaps 5% total of the stimulating oil(s) and up to 10% of Wintergreen/Birch. If Wintergreen/Birch isn't used, then up to 10% of the stimulating oil(s). If there's no inflammation (arthritic condition) being dealt with, any carrier will do. Fractionated coconut is a good choice, only as there's no concern of the carrier "going bad" before the blend is all used -- otherwise, one may consider adding 2 drops of Rosemary Antioxidant per ounce of carrier, as it will help the oil "keep".

Cheers!
