"It is with great pleasure that I give this review for Ananda Apothecary: the order I placed for 5 essential oils was shipped promptly, they arrived in perfect order, the quality of the oils is excellent, beautiful full aromas! But what was most impressive was the superb customer service I received, which I rate as A++++.

I was in search of a natural remedy... However, it proved next to impossible, living in a small city on Canada, to find a local knowledgeable source for them. When I contacted Ananda Apothecary, Misty answered my numerous questions and e-mails promptly, usually within hours, and generously shared recipes for my skin condition, gave expert advice, went out of her way to help me, knowing full well that I might not purchase from them since it would be easier to search for a Canadian on-line source for essential oils once I knew the recipes for the essential oil blends.....I couldn't have asked for more.

"First, Ananda Apothecary's website provided ease in selection of the multitude of varieties of essential oils, as well as grades (the purity) of available essential oils. I liked the fact that they had samples to purchase and educational information easily attainable on one view.

Second, the prices were affordable and fair.

Third, I received the products in good time and condition. They were carefully wrapped and well-protected in leak-proof containers.

Fourth, one product was unavailable, because they wanted to protect the scarcity of its trees and its ecological environment and welfare. They, in turn, substituted it with two similar essential oils with a personal note, its reasons, and purpose.

"I am extremely impressed w/ Ananda Apothecary and rate them 100% and best of all essential oil companies overall (I have solid experience and rather long-term experience w/ 10 companies, only 4 w/ whom I've been truly pleased). Since I found Ananda, I've raised the bar. Please take the time to read on...

I've been practitioner of aromatherapy for about a decade, buying from boutiques & health stores, and more recently ordering online, essential oils and related products (candles - I try to stick to veg or soy - carrier oils, etc.). I try to purchase only organic products, and have been very happy to see an increase in organic oil distribution. Ananda has a very complete list of oils and many (perhaps most) of them are organic or wild... Many commodities purchased from communities/farmers/locations lack funding for the certification (not to mention the pesticides!!) required to be certified organic, so I bet more of Anandas products are organic than those they can list.

Ananda's Oils are extremely well packaged, from the bottles to the boxes. All the info, location of growth, method of extraction, latin and common name, precautions, and much more are PERMANTLY and beautifully labeled on the bottle. Others don't include all of the info, and some have rubbed off w/in days of purchase. Ananda's bottles are all dark cobalt, and all have a dropper-top to avoid spillage/over-pour, compared to some that distribute oils in clear bottles and/or have nothing to control the flow. I've lost a significant amount of oil before b/c some bottles would have a dropper-top, while others from the same company did not... Even when I know there's not one, I have to get a dropper, and that becomes even more problematic when mixing oils.

Ananda offers sample sizes of all their oils for $2-$3, even the absolutes, and the samples are large enough to use. I have paid a ridiculous amount for little bottles that are the size of their samples.

Many of Ananda's oils are CO2 extracted, so one is getting the most of the oil, the most accurate scent, increased environmental friendliness, etc. The quality of Ananda's oils is exceptional. Sometimes I've ordered oils (paid much more too), and they have been very thin, very weak, & inconsistent w/ the quality I know is available.

Ananda's service is EXCEPTIONAL... I ordered for the first time on a Sat, and I received my box on Monday, beautifully organized and packaged, and even w/ a gift ... to get it that quickly was such a pleasant surprise)... They called me and emailed me, and they replaced the one candle they were out of w/ a larger and more expensive candle at no extra cost to me. When I spoke w/ them they were super friendly, personal and loving, as we all can and ought to be.

This is the longest rating I've ever written, and I hope others have taken the time to read it (and if so, thanks!)... Way to go, Ananda!! (As a yoga practitioner, the name is very special too!!)"
