Diffuser use in the home-anyone worry about oil residues...

Diffusing essential oils can be done for simple aromatic pleasure, or for one of several medicinal therapies. Do you want to diffuse anti-depressant oils, or maybe ones with potent antiviral or antibacterial properties?

Diffuser use in the home-anyone worry about oil residues...

Post by goodapple » Tue Sep 03, 2013 4:51 pm

Pardon my asking. My interest in using essential oils is relatively new-as is my knowledge. I am looking to purchase a nebulizing oil diffuser for use in my home. My home has a very open floor plan, maybe advantageous for dispersal, but I worry about my furniture. Does anyone else use a nebulizing diffuser in their home over an extended time and worry about oil residue settling on their furniture, especially if they have upholstered furniture ? Thank you for your feedback and information.

Hi,

No need to worry at all about oils settling anywhere -- once they've evaporated in the air, that's it. It would be like having the scent of roses collect around a vase full of them.

We actually sprinkle some essential oils directly on the carpet, knowing they'll evaporate without a trace.

:o Thank you for that information. I did not realize that essential oils evaporated so well. Fantastic news for my family and me! Time to get a book or two about aromatherapy... Thank you, again.
