For example, how do you figure out a 3% concentration of your essential oil in 29 milliliters of carrier oil?

Omg...I'm so confused about how much carrier to use for an immune support blend. There are 61 drops being used. Can I choose how much oil I want like 1 oz to 61 drops? Is it safe or would I need more carrier oil? Plz help

This is a guideline from my Aromatherapy book :

Minimum-maximum drops of EO Into measurement of base oil
0-1 drop 1/5 teaspoon
2-5 drops 1 teaspoon = 5 ml
4-10 drops 2 teaspoons = 10 ml
6-15 drops 1 tablespoon = 15 ml
8-20 drops 4 teaspoons
15-25 drops 5 teaspoons
12-30 drops 2 tablespoons

For 61 drops I would use at least 60 ml (4 tablespoons) of carrier oil. Considering that 1 oz = 30 ml (approx.), you will need at least 2 oz carrier oil for 61 drops.

I find it is easiest to make up a blend then add the blended oils as needed to a roller with a carrier. I like having some undiluted for smelling or diffusing and this way I dont have to try to cut a recipe down enough for my small bottle. using a teaspoon of carrier is SUPER easy as it is 1% dilution per drop. So if you add 5 drops of blend to a teaspoon of carrier you have a 5% dilution. Easy peasy :-)
