Jasmine oil: Natural Remedy

Post by Roweyan » Fri Dec 13, 2013 3:30 pm

My favorite EO is Jasmine oil for it's multi dimensional use.
It is a valuable remedy in cases of severe depression and soothes the nerves, producing a feeling of confidence, optimism and euphoria, while revitalizing and restoring energy.

Jasmine oil facilitates delivery in childbirth: it hastens the birth by strengthening the contractions and at the same time relieves pain. It is effective in post-natal depression and promotes the flow of breast milk.

Because of its deeply soothing and calming nature, jasmine oil helps with sexual problems such as impotence, premature ejaculation and frigidity.

It has a very beneficial effect on the respiratory system, by soothing irritating coughs and helping with hoarseness and laryngitis. It furthermore helps with muscle pain, sprains, and stiff limbs.

Jasmine oil tones dry, greasy, irritated and sensitive skin, increases elasticity and is often used to assist with stretch marks and to reduce scarring.

Jasmine Grandiflorum is a very versatile essential oil that helps treat a large variety of ailments. It is one of my favourites not only for its abundant usages but also for its pleasant aroma.

In China, Jasmine is used to treat liver cirrhosis, hepatitis and dysentery. The root of the plant is used to treat headaches and pain caused from dislocated joints and rheumatism and alleviate sleep deprivation i.e. insomnia

Jasmine had a reputation for warming the womb and facilitating birth as well as treating breathing difficulties and coughs in the West. Jasmine is also used to treat problems associated with the reproductive and nervous systems and hard contracted limbs.

Skin Care: greasy, dry, irritated, sensitive skin
Circulation, Muscles and Joints: sprains, muscular spasm
Respiratory System: coughs, hoarseness, catarrhal, laryngitis
Genito-Urinary System: frigidity, labor pains, uterine disorders, dysmenorrhea
Nervous System: stress-related and nervous exhaustion conditions, depression

Jasmine essential oil has been used extensively in toiletries, cosmetics and perfumes, particularly in high class oriental and floral fragrances.
Jasmine is been used as an antiseptic, antidepressant, anti-inflammatory, analgesic (mild), aphrodisiac, antispasmodic, sedative and tonic (uterine).
