Birds, too, are sensitive creatures. If you have questions, or are knowledgeable on what aromatherapy practices in their environment is healthy, make a post here!

I have 2 conures and have been using aromatherapy in my home for the past 3-4 months. I have always used them under caution and a watchful eye. My birds have never had a negative effect from the oils. If anything, they become more relaxed, content, and happy. Today I used Earth Goddess in their room and they really calmed down from it. Birds are sensitive to toxins just like we are- Teflon coated pans, air fresheners, household cleaners, candles, etc. basically all that I'm sensitive to, so are they. I realize that they are WAY more sensitive to smells to a degree that something like Teflon pan being heated could very well kill them. They don't have lungs like we do to help filter out poisons. I'm looking into treating my Jinx with essential oils for PDD that he has(effects breaking down and absorbing food and nutrients). He is in Celebrex everyday and I would like to see him off of it in the future.
