Floral Essential Oils For Mom
Some of the most precious memories that I hold and cherish in this lifetime, are the moments that I have had the privilege to spend with my Mother. The sacred bond that we share is unlike any that I have ever experienced and the reason I make a special effort to honor her life and our bond each year on Mothers day.
Over the years, my family has gotten together and made her breakfast or gone out for brunch and usually gifted her with flowers as a symbol of the love that we feel every time we are with her. I've also noticed in the days following her special day, that no matter how hard she would try to keep the flowers fresh, they eventually wilted and died.
Luckily, essential oils capture the essences of all of our favorite flowers, their beauty as well as their natural healing abilities. If you’re looking for a gift that will be a symbol of your love and appreciation, you can find what you need with Ananda’s wide selection of fragrant floral oils and blends. Whether we are looking to strengthen our bond, heal past trauma, or simply give the gift of love, the wonderful essence that these oils provide can enhance your experience with your Mother. You have the power to give your mom all the scent and beauty of a flower without the flowers inevitably drying up. Here are some oils we have available that are perfect for Mother’s Day:
Mothers are constantly pulled in hundreds of different directions. Geranium oil can help bring balance to their minds and bodies. Geranium helps the skin balance between oily and dry by activating the hormones of the adrenal cortex. It has also been shown to be a powerful antioxidant and cancer fighter, having killed leukemia cells in a 2009 study.
This powerful oil will help awaken the senses and the sensuality and is perfect for the mom in a romantic relationship. Jasmine has also been found to heal skin inflammation and help bring relief for people with conditions such as eczema and acne. You can also simply use it as a perfume, which will provide a sweet, alluring fragrance. Life may be too crazy for moms at times to get in touch with their romantic sides, so give your mom this multi-tasking oil.
Everyone is familiar with the relaxing aroma of lavender. Often most used to relieve stress, this oil is perfect for the mom who tends to worry. We offer several Lavender oils, but this one has more of a herbaceous tone that is deeper than the others. This is another oil that can do it all: drop it on your sheets and pillowcases for a good night’s sleep, use it as an oil for relaxing massages any time and any place, and apply it directly to your skin without dilution for its full anti-inflammatory and healing effects.
Ylang Ylang Extra
Ylang Ylang Extra oil is another go-to for relieving all levels of stress. Its name means “flower of flowers,” and the essence of its breathtaking sunset colored flowers is captured through its sweet fragrance. Like Jasmine, this oil can also be used as a perfume, but only in small amounts since its smell is so potent. This magical oil is also believed to have antidepressant, aphrodisiac, and calming qualities. While its blooms are undoubtedly beautiful, Ylang Ylang Extra Oil will deliver the most fragrant floral scent and provide long-time happiness and relaxation.
You could give your mom bouquets of blossoming roses, or you could give her all the beauty of the flowers with all the therapeutic benefits of Ananda’s Rose Absolute oil. Rose oil has been found to help combat depression by boosting self-esteem and confidence, and also eases cramps and fatigue associated with menstruation and post-menstrual syndrome. Our Rose Absolute Oil delivers fresh floral notes and is made with organically grown roses from Morocco.
While we have plenty of beautiful florals that your Mother would love, we also offer a blend specially crafted with magical Mother figures in mind. Our blend, Amada, captures the true essence of a Mother’s Love in a bottle. Amada is comprised of Ylang Ylang Extra, Ylang Ylang Complete, Frankincense, Wild Lavender, Sweet Marjoram, Jasmine, Lemongrass, and Vetiver. Honor that Mother figure in your life, whoever she may be, and give her the gift of Amada!
