What is CBD?
CBD is shorthand for cannabidiol, one of more than one hundred cannabinoids present in cannabis, and 'industrial' hemp, grown for hempseed, hempseed oil, and fiber. The amounts of certain cannabinoids, along with other constituents such as terpenes, ketones, and aldehydes, to name a few (found in hemp essential oil) account for the wide variety of effects of various cannabis strains.
Hemp, which is legal in all 50 states, contains a relatively high concentration of CBD, and only trace amounts of other cannabinoids such as THC, CBN, etc. This allows for the CO2-extraction of CBD, and the formulation of CBD-containing blends used via oral ingestion.
CBD has none of the effects commonly associated with 'pot'. It doesn't get one 'high', though it has been researched for many potential health benefits. Researchers have found it to have potent anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, and neuro-protective actions. The list of conditions CBD has been shown to positively benefit is long, and further information can be found throughout the Internet.
Our CBD oil formulas contain 1mg of CBD per each two drops. The ideal serving size for different users and circumstances is not exactly known. One study seems to indicate that a 2mg serving of CBD produced similar effects of a 200mg serving. We encourage individuals to experiment with their intake to find what is suitable for them.
Our CBD 'Plus' formula includes CBD plus steam distilled hemp essential oil, which is thought to synergize with CBD itself. Hemp essential oil is safe for ingestion, along with other constituents of all our formulas.
Our CBD 'x3' formula includes CBD, frankincense Carteri and hemp essential oil, and Myrrh CO2, plus Sandalwood are included in our 'x5' blend.
Our CBD 'Calm' formula includes CBD, lavender, grapefruit and hemp essential oil.
Our CBD CO2 is extracted from stalks and stems of 'industrial' hemp, grown on small farms. It is non-GMO, and because of the 'hearty' nature of the hemp plant, it needs no pesticides or chemicals for its growth.
How Does CBD Work?
Our bodies have their own endogenous cannabinoids and receptors. While the actual mechanisms of action of CBD are not yet completely understood. It appears that, while CBD does not bind to these receptors, it may prevent the breakdown of our own endogenous cannabinoids, thereby enhancing their activity.

How Are Blends Produced?
Each and every blend is carefully crafted from CBD CO2 extract 'paste'. An analysis is performed on each and every lot of 'raw' material, so that the CBD content is precisely known. We've then measured exactly how many drops are in each bottle, and emulsified the CBD extract in MCT oil, along with other ingestible essential oils (where present in a formula). We ensure you're receiving 1mg of CBD per each two drops of formula, each and every time.
We use MCT Coconut oil as the base for all our formulas, as CBD CO2 can be rapidly degraded by heat and light. MCT oil is highly resistant to oxidation. Further, every blend is packaged in 'Violet' bottles from Miron Glass of Switzerland. These are the most resistant to UV light penetration, which could otherwise oxidize the CBD. Further, Rosemary antioxidant is added to every bottle to ensure freshness.
