CO₂ Extraction Rationale - Facial Skin / Cosmetic Use
Ever Youthful™ includes select CO₂ materials because CO₂ extraction retains heavier, less volatile fractions that are often reduced or absent in steam distillation. In cosmetic facial work, these heavier fractions tend to integrate smoothly into lipid carriers, remain present on the skin longer, and contribute to a more sustained “skin-conditioning” feel rather than a fleeting top-note effect.
In this formula, CO₂ materials are used deliberately for facial refinement support: barrier feel, tone quality, and visible radiance over time. They are included for their topical performance in a dermal matrix, not for diffusion or internal use.
Note: Research literature frequently groups CO₂ extracts alongside botanical oleoresins or concentrated extracts rather than essential oils. This is appropriate, because CO₂ preparations can differ materially in chemistry and behavior from steam-distilled oils. For that reason, evidence cited for the CO₂ materials in Ever Youthful™ is treated as extract-relevant support, not as direct essential oil clinical equivalence.

Ever Youthful™ is designed to support the look and feel of healthy skin through daily use, including improved softness, comfort, glow, and the appearance of more even tone. It is built for skin that feels weathered by time, seasonal exposure, or dryness, where the surface can begin to look dull, dehydrated, uneven, or less resilient.
This is not an “instant change” formula. Its lane is consistent cosmetic use: supporting the skin’s lipid environment and surface quality over time.
Why This Formula Works / Formulation Logic
Ever Youthful™ is structured around two intentional systems.
First: a lipid restoration carrier base.
The carrier oils are chosen to support barrier comfort and skin feel. A well-designed facial oil has two jobs: keep the skin supple and reduce the “tight, dry” look that makes fine lines and uneven tone more visible, while also maintaining a lightweight feel that stays usable daily.
Jojoba is used as a sebum-compatible lipid base (wax esters structurally similar to human sebum), often well-tolerated even on reactive or blemish-prone skin. Rosehip seed and pomegranate seed oils contribute fatty-acid diversity and antioxidant relevance. Hazelnut supports spreadability and feel, helping the serum press in cleanly without heaviness. Tocopherol (Vitamin E) functions both as a skin-relevant antioxidant and as formula stabilization support for delicate oils.
Second: a concentrated botanical aromatic structure for refinement.
The essential oils and CO₂ materials are included for skin-supportive formulation logic and aromatic integrity. This is not perfumery. The aromatic profile is part of the product’s overall coherence, but the cosmetic goal remains skin appearance and feel: tone, glow, and refinement.

Helichrysum italicum — Skin repair and structural relevance (strong preclinical topical evidence)
Among the botanical materials used in topical care, Helichrysum italicum has a strong practitioner history for scar appearance support and skin recovery logic. Modern literature includes essential oil-based topical formulations evaluated in animal wound models. While wound-healing research is not equivalent to facial cosmetic outcomes, it does support why Helichrysum remains relevant in skin formulas focused on visible renewal and resilience.
Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) — Skin comfort, tolerance, and recovery logic (strong preclinical topical evidence)
Lavender is widely studied across topical and biologic models, including wound healing behavior. Published data includes collagen-related markers and tissue remodeling signals in animal models following topical application. In real-world cosmetic practice, lavender has longstanding relevance for comfort, skin feel, and broad tolerability when properly diluted.
Rosehip seed CO₂ / Rosehip seed oil — Barrier support and cosmetic refinement (mixed evidence: strong compositional rationale; human appearance studies exist primarily for oil forms)
Rosehip seed oil is widely used in facial care because its fatty-acid profile supports barrier comfort and surface appearance. Much of the human-facing cosmetic literature does not distinguish extraction methods, but rosehip oils are repeatedly positioned in cosmetic practice for texture refinement and scar appearance support over time. For CO₂ preparations specifically, compositional research supports the presence of lipids and antioxidant constituents, providing rationale for skin-feel and oxidation-resistance logic in a facial oil formula.
Carrot seed CO₂ — Radiance and antioxidant logic (limited direct cosmetic clinical evidence; composition-driven rationale)
Carrot seed CO₂ is included for its concentrated botanical density and antioxidant orientation. Human cosmetic data is limited, but the ingredient is logically placed in a facial refinement serum intended for glow and skin polish, particularly after exposure and seasonal strain.
Bulgarian Rose otto — Traditional facial c aromatic (high traditional use; evidence caution: extract research does not equal essential oil outcomes)
Rose is used here as a classic facial botanical, valued for its aroma, refinement, and long-standing place in traditional topical preparations. It is important to be precise about evidence: many modern skin studies evaluate Rosa damascena extracts rather than rose essential oil. Extracts contain different compound classes (more non-volatile polyphenols), which means extract outcomes do not directly transfer to essential oil chemistry. For that reason, rose essential oil in Ever Youthful™ should be understood as a traditional-use aromatic with supportive topical relevance and sensory elegance—not as the clinical foundation of the formula.
