Return & Refund Policy

We aim to make returns straightforward while protecting the integrity of our products.

Return Eligibility

Returns are accepted within 11 days of delivery as confirmed by the shipping carrier’s tracking system.

Eligible returns include:

  • Incorrect items sent in error
  • Products damaged during shipping

Requests submitted after 11 days of confirmed delivery are not eligible for a full refund. This policy helps maintain product integrity with respect to temperature exposure, storage conditions, and the ability to restock items responsibly.

Damaged or Defective Items

A defective item includes products that arrive broken, leaking, or compromised during shipping. If this occurs, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery.

Return Authorization (RMA Required)

All returns require a Merchandiser Authorization.

  • Your order number
  • The item(s) you wish to return
  • The reason for the return
  • A picture of proof

Opened Products

For safety and quality reasons, we cannot accept refunds for opened or used products. Once the seal of an essential oil bottle has been broken, the product cannot be restocked.

Sampling Recommendation

To help ensure satisfaction before purchasing a full bottle, samples may be requested for individual essential oils when available. The Ananda Apothecary reserve the right to deny this request.

Aromatic Variations

Essential oils and botanical extracts are natural materials. Variations in aroma, color, or viscosity may occur between batches due to seasonal harvest conditions, climate variations, and natural plant chemistry. These natural variations do not constitute a product defect and are not considered valid grounds for return.

Return Shipping

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to an incorrect item or a confirmed shipping damage issue.

Temperature & Storage Responsibility

Essential oils and botanical extracts are sensitive to temperature and environmental conditions. Once an order has been delivered, proper storage and handling becomes the responsibility of the customer. Products exposed to extreme temperatures or improper storage conditions after delivery are not eligible for return.

Carrier Responsibility

Once a package has been marked as delivered by the shipping carrier, responsibility transfers to the recipient. If a package is missing or stolen after delivery, customers should contact the shipping carrier directly to initiate an investigation.

Processing Refunds

Approved refunds will be issued to the original method of payment once the returned product has been received and inspected.
