The Standard

Lead with the Standard Itself
The Ananda Standard
We select for the material, not the category.
We compare, analyze, smell, and decide.
We formulate only when the material and the evidence agree.
Special Thyme™
Special Thyme™ makes that standard visible.
Thyme is not one material. Different chemotypes can carry markedly different chemical and aromatic profiles.
Ananda works deliberately with distinct chemotypes and proportions to build the profile a formulation requires.
The distinction comes first.
Aroma and Analysis
Organoleptic evaluation and analytical documentation serve different purposes.
Aroma reveals the material as a whole: balance, development, character, and how it presents in use.
GC/MS, certificates of analysis, and other technical documentation establish identity, composition, and what is present in a particular batch.
We use both.
Among technically sound materials, aromatic quality remains decisive.
Evidence
Research establishes what has been studied.
Analysis establishes what is present in a particular material.
Neither answers the whole question alone.
We use the evidence appropriate to the decision being made, then apply judgment to the material in hand.
Where relevant, product pages make that work visible through batch documentation, formulation logic, and further study.
Formulation
Once the material is understood, formulation asks a different question: why should these materials be brought together?
We look at botanical identity, extraction method, constituent chemistry, published research, and how each material contributes to the finished formula.
We consider what each contributes, what the research supports, how the ingredients complement one another, and whether the finished composition serves its intended purpose.
That reasoning is made visible through RESEARCH-FORMULATED™ and Formulation Logic.
Research informs the composition. Judgment determines the formula.
