2. Benchmark Thyme is coming back... sorta. We are currently re-creating this rare and incredible blend of thyme varieties to emulate the unique antimicrobial Benchmark Thyme that is no longer in production or being sold. More on Ananda's Special Thyme™ below.

3. The Winter Cabinet will include several more Ananda legacy formulations that address the Fall and Winter Seasons. We are including additions to address seasonal resilience, respiratory support, sleep and nervous-system balance, focus and mental clarity, and physical recovery, including Super Immune™ that includes the new ingredient: Special Thyme™

4. Collections for Her, Him, and Household. Tis the Season to make it easy on our own lives, and the lives of others. This Winter Cabinet will offer Gift Sets as a new category. The collection sets are appropriately fashioned for the top needs: Skin, Sleep, Focus, Composure and the things we all need in our daily lives, or in the household when a moment arises.
 

5. Year Round Selections:  You can always count on several products that will always be available. Skin, Sleep, Nervous System and Immunity, with our flagship products: Helichrysum and Rose Otto.

We will address seasonal needs with legacy or new formulations, and we are always open to requests and demand.

Our Next Cabinet will be the "French Cabinet" of sorts -- meaning the essential oils are all being acquired from France (whereas the last offerings were mainly from Bulgaria)

The Return of a Very Special Thyme™

Many of you will remember Benchmark Thyme—an unusual blend made from several cultivars of Thymus zygis, rather than a single thyme oil.

The premise was: different thyme varieties produce different chemistry. And by combining selected chemotypes, we can create a broader and more deliberately constructed thyme profile than any single oil can provide. That was exactly what Maggie Tisserand did, and studied and proved.

There was a reason for that complexity.

In a University of Brighton study, Benchmark Thyme demonstrated significant inhibitory and bactericidal activity in vitro against Staphylococcus aureus, including antibiotic-resistant MRSA, and performed better than the single linalool-chemotype thyme used for comparison.

Its chemistry was equally unusual: meaningful levels of thymol, linalool, α-terpinene and terpinen-4-ol, contributed by different thyme cultivars.

Benchmark thyme is no longer available. Maggie has decided to explore other adventure in her life and her contribution to this end is complete.

So...

We are working to recreate it. We call our version "Special Thyme™". To do this, we went back to the chromatographic profile to formulate this blend as a chemotype of the original, rather than another “thyme.”

Our Special Thyme™ combines three distinct thyme chemotypes at the levels of our model:

Thyme ct. Thymol · Thyme ct. Linalool · Thyme ct. Thuyanol

We are highly confident in our process. This restores much of Benchmark’s thymol–linalool foundation and the medicinal, herbaceous character we want for the original "Classic" Super Immune™ formula. With Benchmark Thyme no long available on the market, we can not offer the original Super Immune™ which you all know, love, and have found highly effective. But we are thrilled to disclose that we are making an effort to have a thyme blend that does the job.

We are still looking to improve the profile rich in α-terpinene and terpinen-4-ol.

Phase I marks the return of an important turning point or us, while this effort continues.

Therefore, we are happy to announce that this wonderful Special Thyme™ will be in our Super Immune™ in the next cabinet. It is not the original 'classic' Super Immune™ that you know, particularly because the thyme blend we used is not longer available. So if you have been wondering why we differentiated Super Immune™ as a 'seasonal' blend, now you know. It was missing the special ingredient, of which we call Special Thyme™.
