Overview 

Helichrysum italicum doesn't improve with urgency. It improves with time — and this one has had it. Corsican origin, aged to completion in 2019 under Ananda's proprietary process, and reserve-held under controlled conditions since. It has continued to mature naturally in the years that followed.

There are four exclusive oils in this reserve. This is one of them. When they are gone, the conditions that produced them cannot be replicated.

At the time of its original release, it was already offered as an aged Helichrysum. During extended reserve holding, it has continued to mature naturally—allowing further integration, rounding, and composure without additional intervention.

Corsican Helichrysum is widely regarded as the reference standard for this species, valued not for loud intensity, but for balance and cohesion. Aging—both intentional and time-held—supports the full expression of that inherent structure.

This is a mature oil, released at its point of refinement. We find it exquisite. To novice noses, who often encounter Helichrysum as a sharp, medicinal, or even fuel-like first impression, this oil will be a revelation.  The aggressive edges have long since resolved, and what remains is the floral composure the species is capable of but rarely allowed to reach.

Helichrysum is typically offered close to distillation. Extended aging is uncommon, requiring monitoring, stability assessment, and controlled long-term storage. Only certain oils demonstrate clear aromatic and structural improvement with time-held maturation. This reserve is finite—and once released, the same holding conditions should not be assumed replicable.

Helichrysum italicum is historically associated with the names Immortelle and Everlasting.

The Corsican profile is valued for cohesion rather than sharpness—aromatic, functional, and textural elements remain in proportion, without a single dominant note overtaking the whole.

This oil was selected for aging because it demonstrated exceptional stability and a clear benefit from long-term maturation under controlled conditions.

Aged & Reserve Standard

Certain essential oils benefit from time held under controlled conditions. When an oil demonstrates clear aromatic and structural benefit, Ananda applies aging deliberately and without acceleration.

Oils are refined to their point of maturity—through proprietary aging where appropriate—then held in reserve only as long as integrity, cohesion, and function continue to improve. No oil is aged for novelty or marketing effect, and none is released before it has settled fully.
