Stay Sharp™

Focus & Mental Clarity · Aromatic Blend

Stay Sharp™ is an aromatic formula for focused work, studying, reading, analysis, and periods that require sustained attention.

Rosemary forms the heart of the blend.

The result is fresh, herbaceous, and focused — designed for use before or during concentrated mental work.

Formulation Logic

RESEARCH-FORMULATED™ · Formulation Logic, Applied.

There's good reason for that. In human studies, people who breathed Rosemary's aroma did better on measures of memory and felt more alert.

Lemon adds a touch of brightness. It lifts the Rosemary and keeps the blend fresh through long stretches of reading, writing or desk work — and its aroma has been found to improve mood, too.

Melissa — true Melissa officinalis, soft and lemony — sits in the middle. As an oral extract, it has been studied for performance and calm during demanding mental work. That's a supplement, not an aroma, but it tells you this is a plant with real relevance to focused work.

Basil adds a green, herbal depth, and has a long Ayurvedic and herbal history of use for mental fatigue and nervous exhaustion.

Applications

Diffusion

Diffuse 4–5 drops for 15–30 minutes before or at the beginning of a focused work or study session. Once the aroma has established itself in the room, switch the diffuser off rather than running it continuously.

Personal Inhalation

Place 1–2 drops on a tissue, scent stone, or personal inhaler and breathe naturally as you begin the task. Particularly useful for studying, desk work, reading, writing, or shared environments where room diffusion is not appropriate.

Aroma

Clean, bright, and herbaceous.

Rosemary leads, lifted immediately by Lemon. Melissa softens the middle without sweetening it, while Basil adds a green, faintly anise-like finish. Fresh and alert without becoming sharp.

Questions & Answers

Before you buy

QIs Stay Sharp™ good for studying?

Yes — studying is one of its clearest uses, including work involving memory: learning, reviewing, retaining, and recalling information.

QWhy use Stay Sharp™ instead of Rosemary essential oil alone?

Rosemary can certainly be used by itself, and it carries the strongest directly relevant research within this formula. Stay Sharp™ rounds it out into a full blend. Choose Rosemary when you want the single oil. Choose Stay Sharp™ when you want a formula built around focused work.

QWhat is the difference between Stay Sharp™ and Wise™?

Stay Sharp™ is for concentration and sustained attention — studying, reading, writing, analysis, and detail-oriented work. Wise™ is for composure and deliberation — moments when the challenge is slowing down, considering clearly, and making a decision. One is oriented toward the task. The other toward the decision.

Moss M, Cook J, Wesnes K, Duckett P. Aromas of Rosemary and Lavender Essential Oils Differentially Affect Cognition and Mood in Healthy Adults. International Journal of Neuroscience. 2003;113(1):15–38.

In 144 healthy adults, Rosemary aroma was associated with better overall quality of memory and secondary memory, while participants also reported feeling more alert than those exposed to Lavender. The results were not uniformly better across every cognitive measure: speed of memory was slower than control.

Moss M, Oliver L. Plasma 1,8-Cineole Correlates with Cognitive Performance Following Exposure to Rosemary Essential Oil Aroma. Therapeutic Advances in Psychopharmacology. 2012;2(3):103–113.

Following exposure to Rosemary aroma, its constituent 1,8-cineole was measurable in participants' blood. Concentrations correlated with aspects of speed and accuracy during cognitive testing.

In a controlled study of healthy adults, Lemon aroma produced a reliable enhancement in positive mood compared with Lavender and a no-odor condition.

A standardized, orally ingested Melissa officinalis extract (Zensera™) was studied during demanding cognitive work, with findings involving executive-function performance and recovery of calmness following cognitive load.
