Skin changes before most of us would call it mature. It gets drier, loses some of its softness, and fine lines show more readily when it is dry. The trick is giving it more without making it feel buried in product.
Ever Youthful™ is a face oil serum for that skin: light enough for daily use, substantial enough to make a difference in how the skin feels.

Ever Youthful™ starts with Jojoba, Hazelnut, Rosehip Seed and Pomegranate Seed oils. They give the serum conditioning lipids and essential fatty acids, but without making it feel heavy. Interestingly, Jojoba research found effects on the skin’s own production of hyaluronic acid, a substance that helps the skin hold water.
Concentrated Rosehip Seed CO₂ brings unsaturated fatty acids along with naturally occurring tocopherols, forms of vitamin E with antioxidant activity, and carotenoids, antioxidant plant pigments naturally present in the extract.
Carrot appears twice. Same plant, different part. Carrot Root CO₂ gives us the carotenoid-rich fraction of the root. Carrot Seed gives us the aromatic oil and it has cosmetic research of its own, including antioxidant activity in topical formulations.
Corsican Helichrysum has long been valued in fine facial preparations, and it is here for the skin itself. Human skin-explant research found that Helichrysum affected the skin’s production of ceramides, the natural lipids that help form the skin barrier and hold moisture in, while separate laboratory work found that Helichrysum essential oil slowed the break down of collagen and elastin — specifically it inhibited collagenase and elastase, the proteins that help give skin its structure and elasticity.
Rose Otto and Fine French Lavender complete the aromatic side. It takes about 3,500 kilos of rose blossoms to distill a single kilo of Rose Otto, roughly sixty roses for every drop, so a little goes a long way. The Lavender keeps the formula from becoming too floral.
The finished serum is 3%.
Applications
- Apply 3–5 drops to clean skin. There is no need to dampen it first.
- Massage gently over the face and neck.
- Use morning, evening, or both. Many prefer it at night, when the oils can sit undisturbed.
- If you use a water-based serum or moisturizer, apply Ever Youthful™ after it.
- Let it absorb before sunscreen or makeup.
- On the neck or décolletage, let it absorb before dressing. The naturally colored extracts can mark pale fabric.
- In a hurry? Lightly blot away the excess.

Before you buy
QWill Ever Youthful™ feel greasy or clog my pores?
Ever Youthful™ is an oil serum, so there is a light sheen at first. Use a small amount and give it five or ten minutes.
We have not had a pattern of customers reporting clogged pores or breakouts from Ever Youthful™ over its years of use. Every skin is different. If yours is combination or blemish-prone, start with three drops rather than five, on the drier areas, and see how it behaves.
QWhat can Ever Youthful™ realistically do for my skin?
Ever Youthful™ is for skin that feels drier, less supple, or simply more affected by weather and exposure than it used to be.
Its oils and CO₂ extracts were chosen for skin-barrier support, softness and a smoother-looking surface.
With regular use, skin should feel softer, less dry and better conditioned. When dryness makes fine lines and texture show more clearly, better conditioning can make the surface look smoother and more supple.
QIs Ever Youthful™ only for mature skin?
No.
Dryness, environmental exposure and loss of softness do not begin at a particular birthday.
Use it when your skin starts asking for more oil-based conditioning. That can happen in your thirties, forties, fifties or later.
Feel & Finish
Light and silky. Jojoba and Hazelnut give it easy spread, while the rest of the oil base keeps it from feeling thin.
Rose is the first note you'll recognize, but it does not take over. Helichrysum adds a warm, honeyed-herbal depth, Fine French Lavender a fresher edge, and Carrot Seed something earthier underneath. It smells of the materials themselves.

- even if your skin has not previously been sensitive or reactive. Skin sensitivities and allergies can develop or change over time, including after years of uneventful use. Discontinue use if irritation or sensitivity occurs.
- If you use a prescription retinoid or are under dermatological care, follow the instructions given for that treatment.
- Safety of the finished formula during pregnancy, breastfeeding and use in children has not been established. Seek qualified guidance before use in these groups.

Lineage
Ever Youthful™ began as a personal facial serum in Boulder, Colorado, where cycling, running, hiking and swimming meant regular exposure to sun, wind, altitude and chlorine. The formula grew out of that kind of daily use.
It has been part of Ananda's skincare line ever since.

Natural materials vary from lot to lot. Small differences in aroma, viscosity and especially color are normal, since Carrot Root CO₂ and Rosehip Seed CO₂ are naturally colored.

Rosehip
Supercritical CO₂ extraction of rosehip fruits produced fractions containing fatty acids, tocopherols, carotenoids, phytosterols and polyphenols.
In an open-label pilot, twenty-seven adults applied cold-pressed Rosa canina seed oil to the face daily for five weeks. Instrumental facial measurements showed changes in several skin parameters.
Carrot Seed
Carrot Seed Oil was incorporated into cosmetic emulsions at different concentrations and evaluated for stability, antioxidant activity, irritation and experimental skin parameters.
Corsican Helichrysum
In cultured cells and ex vivo human skin explants, Corsican Helichrysum italicum essential oil influenced genes associated with epidermal differentiation, skin-barrier formation and ceramide synthesis, with measured changes in involucrin, epidermal lipids and ceramides. Industry-funded.
Helichrysum italicum essential oil inhibited collagenase and elastase, enzymes involved in breaking down structural skin proteins, in laboratory assays.
Jojoba
In an ex vivo human skin-organ model, topical jojoba affected pro-collagen III and hyaluronic-acid markers and inflammatory activity.
Hazelnut
Hazelnut oil was incorporated at 10% into cosmetic emulsions applied twice daily for 28 days by 56 volunteers. Instrumental measurements showed increased skin moisturization, with the virgin hazelnut oil preparation producing the stronger effect.
Pomegranate Seed Oil
Cold-pressed pomegranate seed oil stimulated human keratinocyte proliferation in cell culture and produced mild epidermal thickening in a human skin-organ model without disrupting normal differentiation. The study's procollagen and MMP-1 findings came from other pomegranate fractions.
Vitamin E
A review of Vitamin E physiology, penetration, metabolism, antioxidant activity and cosmetic use in human skin. In Ever Youthful™, Vitamin E is there to protect the oils from oxidation.
