That is what The Standard™ was made to do.
Rosehip Seed and Carrot Root CO₂ extracts form the botanical core, with Jojoba and Pomegranate Seed providing the carrier base and Frankincense, Myrrh, Helichrysum, and Indian Sandalwood completing the formula.
The Standard™ is formulated as one piece of daily care rather than a collection of products: materially considered, dry in character, and useful from shave to beard to bare skin.
The Standard™ is a useful alternative to Ever Youthful™ for those who prefer a drier, resinous aromatic profile to Rose.
Overview
The Standard™ conditions facial hair, softens the skin beneath a beard, and leaves freshly shaved skin feeling comfortable and well cared for.
It is not a styling wax, a heavily fragranced beard oil, or another complicated step in a grooming routine. The aroma remains close to the skin, the finish is refined rather than glossy, and a small amount covers a surprising amount of ground.
Use it as an aftershave, beard oil, or daily facial oil. It was designed to move easily between all three.
Although The Standard™ was developed from men's grooming logic, the formula itself is not gender-specific. It is a daily facial oil for anyone who prefers a dry, woody, resinous aromatic profile over Rose or floral notes.

Questions & Answers
Will it leave my face or beard greasy—or stain my shirt collar?
Not when used sparingly. Work a small amount fully into the skin and beard, then give it a minute to absorb before dressing. Using too much may leave residue that transfers to fabric.
Does it smell like incense or a heavy natural beard oil?
No. The aroma is restrained—dry wood, soft resin, and a faint earthy note. It stays close to the skin and settles quickly rather than wearing like cologne.
How quickly should I notice a difference?
Skin should feel more comfortable and beard hair less dry after application. Give it one to two weeks of regular use to judge the visible condition of dry or rough skin.
Can I use it every day as a facial serum?
Yes. Use a small amount on clean, slightly damp skin—with or without a beard. For very dry skin, apply it over a lightweight moisturiser to help hold in moisture.
The Formula
The foundation is jojoba, chosen for its smooth spread, light skin feel, and particular usefulness in both facial and beard care. Pomegranate seed oil adds richness and substance without turning the formula into a heavy grooming oil.
Rosehip Seed and Carrot Root CO₂ extracts bring a different part of the plants into the formula. Rosehip Seed CO₂ contributes a fatty-acid-rich botanical fraction along with naturally occurring tocopherols, carotenoids, and phytosterols. Carrot Root CO₂ is selected for its concentrated oil-soluble botanical fraction rather than for fragrance. We use the CO₂ forms here because those are the parts of these botanicals we want in a waterless facial and beard formula.
Frankincense sacra, Helichrysum, Myrrh, and Indian Sandalwood were chosen both for their long association with fine skin preparations and for the restrained aromatic structure they create. Frankincense and Myrrh bring the dry, resinous centre; Sandalwood softens the edges; and Helichrysum adds a quiet herbaceous note.
The aroma is not added as decoration. It grows directly from the materials themselves.

The Standard™ combines Rosehip Seed and Carrot Root CO₂ extracts with Helichrysum, Frankincense, Myrrh, and Indian Sandalwood, bringing together lipid-rich botanical fractions and resinous, floral, and woody materials in one deliberately balanced face and beard formula.
What do we do with that knowledge? We formulate.
Aromatic Profile
Dry woods, soft resin, faint earth, and a subtle herbaceous lift.
The aroma stays close to the skin and settles quickly. It is neither cologne-like nor overtly perfumed, with no menthol and no cooling effect.
How We Use It
After shaving, press a small amount over clean, dry skin.
For beard care, work it through the facial hair and into the skin beneath. It may also be used as a daily facial oil, morning or evening.
Begin sparingly. A small amount goes a long way.

Notes and Cautions
- For external use only. Avoid direct eye contact and mucous membranes.
- Patch test prior to first use, especially before applying to freshly shaved skin.
- Discontinue use if irritation or sensitivity occurs.
- Contains Helichrysum, a member of the Asteraceae family. Do not use if you have a known sensitivity to chamomile, ragweed, marigold, daisies, or related plants.
- Safety of the finished formula during pregnancy, breastfeeding, and use in children has not been established. Seek qualified guidance before use in these groups.
- Store tightly closed, away from heat and direct light.

In human keratinocyte and dermal-fibroblast models, pomegranate seed oil reduced several inflammatory mediators and accelerated fibroblast wound closure. The findings support its inclusion in formulas intended to condition skin exposed to routine shaving and environmental stress, but this was a laboratory study and did not test The Standard™ or post-shave skin in people.
