Sun Radiance™ was created for that part of the story — a ready-to-use daily facial oil built around antioxidant-rich botanical oils for skin exposed to sun, heat, wind, and the elements.
Use it before or after time outdoors as daily skin care, alongside appropriate sun protection.
Formulation Logic

Sea Buckthorn Pulp CO₂ is the center of the formula. In human skin cells exposed to UVB, its pulp oil helped preserve collagen and keep the cells healthy.
Rosehip and Carrot Root CO₂ bring more of the carotenoids and vitamin E that give these oils their color. German Chamomile and Indian Sandalwood add a calming side; both have long been used for inflamed skin. Rosemary Antioxidant CO₂ keeps the oils fresh.
Argan, jojoba, raspberry seed, rosehip seed, and pomegranate carry the formula, light enough to wear every day.
Applications
- Apply a few drops to clean, slightly damp facial skin as part of a daily routine, including before or after time outdoors.
- In the morning, allow it to settle before applying makeup or sunscreen.
- In the evening, it can be the final conditioning layer.
- Use less in humid weather or on combination skin.

Before you buy
QIs Sun Radiance™ a sunscreen, or a substitute for one?
No. Its role is different. In laboratory research, Sea Buckthorn pulp oil helped UVB-exposed human skin cells maintain viability and collagen while reducing some of the cellular processes associated with UV damage. Sun Radiance™ is designed around that kind of exposure-related skin support.
QWhy choose Sun Radiance™ over plain rosehip or sea buckthorn oil?
The result is a composed facial oil rather than a single raw material: more varied in constituent profile, moderated in color and texture, and designed for repeated everyday use.
QWill it feel greasy or interfere with moisturizer or makeup?
Not when used sparingly. Sun Radiance™ is concentrated, and a few drops are enough. It layers easily with other skincare and can be worn beneath or over another facial oil or moisturizer.
Feel & Finish
Light and conditioning; it absorbs cleanly rather than sitting heavy on the skin.
The carotenoid-bearing extracts give it a rich color. Used sparingly, it settles into the skin without an obvious orange cast, though very pale skin may look faintly flushed for a few minutes during absorption. Allow it to absorb before contact with pale collars, towels, or pillowcases.
The scent is mild and understated: a faint earthy warmth from the colored extracts, with Sandalwood and German Chamomile sitting quietly underneath. It is easily worn beneath other preparations.

- This is a cosmetic facial oil, not a sunscreen. It is not an SPF product and must not be relied upon for protection from ultraviolet exposure.
- Patch test before first use, particularly on sensitive or reactive skin. Discontinue use if redness, itching, burning, or other irritation develops.
- Safety of the finished formula during pregnancy, breastfeeding, and use in children has not been established. Consult a qualified healthcare practitioner before use in these groups.

Further Study
For those interested, the studies below examine individual materials used in Sun Radiance™ and their relevance to UV-associated oxidative stress, skin integrity, and inflammatory response. They do not test Sun Radiance™ itself.
In UVB-exposed human dermal fibroblasts, sea buckthorn pulp oil reduced cell toxicity and collagen degradation. Its palmitoleic acid helped maintain cell viability and collagen while suppressing MMP-1 and moderating p38, JNK, and NF-κB signaling.
In a reconstituted human-skin model, pretreatment with pomegranate-derived materials, including pomegranate oil, reduced UVB-associated DNA damage, protein oxidation, and matrix-metalloproteinase activity linked with photoaging.
Bulgarian German Chamomile essential oils from different producers were analyzed for composition and cosmetic-related activity. The oils showed antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity in laboratory assays, with meaningful variation between producers. These oils were not the Ananda Bulgarian batch, so the findings support German Chamomile essential oil as a material class rather than establishing activity for this specific lot.
In a small open-label clinical study, a 10% East Indian Sandalwood Oil serum reduced plaque severity in most evaluable participants with mild-to-moderate psoriasis. In reconstructed human psoriatic skin, the same oil also reduced inflammatory mediators and markers of epidermal hyperproliferation. The study used a substantially higher Sandalwood concentration than Sun Radiance™ and does not test this finished formula. It was funded in part by Santalis Pharmaceuticals, a company that develops Sandalwood-oil products, and three of the authors are Santalis employees.
